I got a pickup delivery that was missing a bag. An honest mistake. After trying to get help from the Kroger chat person/bot I was very dissatisfied and frustrated. I called the store and Tony(?), the manager, apologized and delivered the bag himself! Real customer service comes from real people in our communities! Thanks, Tony (or whoever it was, sorry I forgot your name)!
This is my favorite grocery store in the area. They usually have whatever I'm looking for, unlike most of the other stores in this area. The workers are helpful, and they usually have a lot of checkouts open. Self-serve, full serve, upstairs, and downstairs. It is 2 stories, but there's an elevator to go up and down with your cart. The only downfall I have is that I've been there a couple of times where no carts were available. Recently, though, it seems they have plenty, so perhaps they addressed that issue and bought more.
Metro market in Shorewood is fairly new. I think it opened in 2018 or 2019. The store is large. Was a good selection, prices are widely variable. Some good deals. Some not so good deals. I wish they would maintain the store better; there are cracked floors, missing floor tiles and messy landscaping outside the store.
5 stars! Fresh food friendly employees. Love this location since it converted to a Metro! Balloon shop and sushi are the best!
Stopped in for water and the smell of Chicken, and meatloaf and O My!!!! Every department was Spot on with the exception that that oranges were all out dated. The seafood was well presented and many Sales. Meat department full of ready to cook masterpieces of beef, chicken or pork. Oh and I can't forget the 2 for $10 chicken/fried/rotisserie/ or meatloaf mix n match. Amazing baked goods! Fine Wine selection as well as Micro Brew assortments. I'm pleased how clean the store is and polite the workers are! Nice Job!!
